this is our ballet trio.

Miss Anna-our instructor, Kerri-a big inspiration, and moi.
We've all hung out together every Wednesday evening since September.
Thursday night we had our end of the year performance.
Totally different than the organized productions I was a part of growing up, but still totally fun.
It has been 8 years since I've been on stage (or in pointe shoes)!....Well, we've been practicing the pointe shoe thing for several weeks now.

Here I am behind stage getting in the rosin box (it adds some stick to your shoes so you don't slip - which would be a bad thing), and warming up my feet a bit.

We were Oysters in the ADPA Summer Ballet Showcase which showcased excerpts from "The Dancing Mermaid" (ooh, that sounded really fancy).

We did lots and lots of bourree's, and wore fake eyelashes, and buns with hairnets, and I'm pretty sure our dance got the loudest applause! :)
